Thanks for the offer and advice djayfx. I thought about using Netstream.publish to record. But I would have to do that for all the streams in the presentation. This is clear enough, but then to make the presentation on demand content for later viewing is whats tricky. I would have to build components to listen to the streams on playback and when an event is triggered, lets say a chat event, it would have to listen and respond accordingly. I believe this is how Macromedia Breeze does it. Unless they just have one stream and embed all the chat and slide show events into one stream, which seems more efficient. I was hoping there was a more turnkey solution for this.
i dont know of any, but why dont you publish the stream to your fc server with the record param? you'll end up with the .flv file in your flashcom app root. if you need a developer for this i might be interested.
search the tutorials round here on macromedia.com, i think peldi shows you how to build a broadcaster which also involves changing and cutting streams. might be what you need for building an agreggated stream that you can play it back as is later.
Curious: Is there a way to merge multiple streams? Like in an audio conference, I can record individual streams--audio from single microphone. IS there a way to record merged audio streams from multiple users?
