Something seems to be dragging down our FCS (Flash Comm. Server) - we do have
periodic network issues in the morinings, but for the most part, in the
remainder of the day, all works as it should and we are quite happy.
Typically we have 50 or so users connected to 1 of 6 live video feeds and chat
feeds. When we have network hiccups in the morning it seems that the FCS
cripples iteself and the only way to fix it is to wait a long time - or restart
it.
Today I did an bit of anaylsis and noted that the bytes and messgages per
second seemed to go completely off the chart, almost like the FCS was trying to
play catch up...There really does not seem to be alot of documention around
debugging this sort of stuff, so I am wondering if someone can explain what is
happening here, or if there is a way to prevent FCS from dragging iself down by
playing what appears to be catch-up...Check out the stats below (Cut and pasted
from the Admin console) the numbers are out-of-control.
Any help is appreciated!!!
typically our I/O looks like this:
Msg per second (i/o): 45 / 71
bytes per second (i/o): 41738 / 238799
