macromedia flash flashcom : Recording SoundCard Output

Basically what I want to do is have FlashComm record the output of my soundcard
(and save it as FLV).. ie. I play an MP3 from WinAmp and Flash picks up the
audio stream and sends it over..

And if it is possible... is it possible to record the Soundcard output AND
record from the microphone at the same time?

Cheers,
Maj

well, just a quick idea or two.

1. right click your swf, pick settings and select your sound card synth or
other audio hardware available there except the microphone. in some full duplex
cards it just works. i know my old pc used to.

if 1 doesnt help try 2.

2. loop your line out back through your mic in or line in on your pc, or use a
splitter, to also plug in the mic at the same time and select the line in or
mic in respectively as explained above.

i hope you know a thing or two about physics for the latter step, i wouldnt
try plugging a too large a mic in a soundcard directly, the impedance
difference reflects back some of the signal, and effectively cause poor quality

i dont think thats possible as there is no means of making the output available
to flashcom, it is mainly concerned with input devices.

the only real possibility i see is getting a smart fellow to write you a
modified driver that configures the mixed output as another input and makes it
available internally. (you'll know if it works when you hear the hugest humm
(microphone effect - whats the english for that?) as the output gets sucked in
the driver, mixed again, etc)
