Logging performance stats externally

Can I programatically obtain the kind of performance stats you see in the
management interface, e.g. get a count of number of connections, number of
active streams etc.
We use tools like munin and nagios for server tracking, I'd like to integrate
FMS into this.

When capturing a webcam feed using FMS - is there any loss of information
during the upload process?
If my client has a limited uplink (for instance a poor DSL uplink bandwidth) -
does the resulting FLV file will suffer from lost frames etc.? (is RTMP

1. FMS is installed on a P4 3 Ghz cpu and 4 Gb memory
2. FMS is running in the 'application-scope' ; each application (main.asc) has
it's own core
