macromedia flash flashcom : High Definition Video

Any thougts on using the Flash Media Server for distribution of high definition
video? Is flash good enough? What about system requirement on the client side?
Has anyone actually tried this?

All comments on this topic would be very interesting!

FMS can deliver video at any bitrate. The flv format doesn't support HD, but I
think you meant "high resolution".

You could theoretically stream video at a high enough bitrate that it is
virtually uncompressed, but that would require a pile of bandwidth on both the
client and server sides. Very cool...but not very practical.
