macromedia flash flashcom : FMS: FMS can't map to a remote drive?

If I can get any answers to this - it sure would make the decision to go with
Flash Server easier.

On Windows, is there a way to use a mapped network drive to store applications
and/or content, and then use that mapped drive to access the content to be
streamed via FMS?

I haven't yet figured out how to do this, and if it is a real limitation (and
not just a result of my ignorance), Flash Media Server is pretty lame. Any
assistance is appreciated.

I think it maybe be true, a lame limitation

I was stunned to learn that FLVPlayBack component in Flash 8 does NOT support
networked contentPath (ie. your .FLV has to be on LOCAL drive, or in the
http://webserver/ format, and NOT \\server\directory\file.flv)
