I am trying to put together a demo of a chat and whiteboard app for a client.

I downloaded the components and the samples, and I am trying to use the sample
lobby file.

Everytime I test the swf it automatically logs that user in. The simple
connect component is remembering the last user name that logged in and then is
logging that user in. They appear in the people list component below that.

This isn't expected behavior, is it?

What am I missing?

I don't work with the MM components much, but as I recall, the simpleConnect
sets up a local shared object to remember the user name. Ifyou open the
component and get rid of the lines that write/check the SO, that behavior will
stop.

... but to answer your question, yes, that is an expected behavior.
