Hi,
I am putitng together a simple exhibit using a USB microscope to display a
live picture on a laptop. The USB microscope works just like a web cam, with
the same kind of video drivers etc (I think it used twain drivers?). I want
to display the live video within a Flash executable on the laptop the
microscope is installed on, so I can make a nice interface for the screen. I
don't think I need any controls, as I can setup the twain driver in another
app, and it saves those settings.

Does Flash 8 support this kind of live feed?

What would I need to make this work?

If the Flashplayer recognizes the driver for the microscope as a camera, then
it will work just fine using camera.get in Flash. Otherwise, you'd need to use
a screen capture driver (such as Camtasia) to get the image into your .swf
