macromedia flash flashcom : No Output form FMS2 : Developer Edition

I have the developer addition of Flash Media Server 2 installed on my local
WinXP SP-2 PC and on a dedicated Win 2003 server. I tried the simple process of
using Dreamweaver 8 to add the Flash video file to the page and have added the
appropriate files (.flv & .asc to the application folder of FMS2) and (html &
..swf on web server) but it won't play. Ports 1935 and 1111 have been opened on
the firewall.

I get the following responses from Management Console -

Live log:
OnConnect
GetStreamLength:MyVideo

It shows sessions and streams being created but I get no output. Log also
shows ?switching to developer edition.? I?m using the default server-side
action script ?Main.asc? ? could that be the issue? Also, does it matter which
codec is used to encode the video? On2 or Sorenson?

Thanks

Jay6651,
where are you storing the FLVs?
make sure they are in inside the appname/streams/_definst_ folder.
If the FLV's are just in the streams folder they probably wont work.

Yes, The .flv files are inside the appname/streams/_definst_ folder. I'm even
seeing sessions and streams being created in the Management console, yet I see
no output. It's like the initial connection is being made but nothing is
happening. I even made sure to set the server Mime type correctly based on a
Win2003 server issue I saw on this forum.

Any other ideas?

Thanks
