Hi Guys,

I have a little issue with FlashMediaServer, It all works great when I turn my
firewall off but for obvious reasons I need it on.
I have tried adding ports/programs to my Firewall Exeptions List but still I
have no luck.

Does anyone have a solution for this?
I am using Win XP Pro SP2

Is there a way to get my firewall to prompt me to give access to
FlashMediaServer?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

I know you solved this but I was wonder you run FMS on Win XP although the
installation requirements does not include Windows XP. Does it work ok?

I have now solved it.
It was not FMS it was my MySQL running on the same host which was blocked
and was not allowing the login to my Flash app.

I went ahead and did it and it is working. It appears that the Macromedia
web site is not claiming XP as a valid OS but in my meanderings I think I
passed over something official that claimed XP is ok.

The install claimed it uninstalled the FlashCom I had on there, but I have
not pursued that although even after I stopped the install to backup the
FlashCom folders. But when done I found all the folders still remained.
