Hi,
I've read a few posts here from people wanting some info on the issue of
converting audio recorded with FMS in FLV format to an MP3, but haven't been
able to find any official responses from Adobe about it.
A news item dated Feb 15th at
http://www.progettosinergia.com/flashvideo/flashvideoblog.htm quotes the Flash
Media Server product manager Steve Wolkoff as saying:
" We are putting some free FMS tools on Adobe Labs in the next few weeks. One
of these tools is an FLV > MP3 converter. Disclaimer: When released on Adobe
Labs, this software will be considered pre-Alpha, unsupported, and cannot be
used in commercial applications. We are putting it on Labs to gather real world
feedback and learn how people want to use this tool. However, this is a
feature/tool that we would eventually like to see available in a
supported form. "
However I haven't been able to find anything official at Adobe Labs or in
these forums to substantiate this so I'm wondering if anyone from Adobe can
confirm that this is on the way? I'm sure I speak for a lot of FMS developers
when I say that it would be a most welcome tool.
Thanks
