Hello everyone!
I'm new to Flash, and I'm attempting to create a very simple Flash app that
simply loads an FLV stored in an application directory on my FMS2 Developer

FLV not smooth

Hi Everyone,
I am a newbe to FlashCom and I have been trying to get a flv to stream smooth.
The prolem is that When the flv starts playing it is choppy then about 20 - 30
into the video it plays smooth. I palys smoth when I test it locally on my

Hi Guys,
I have a little issue with FlashMediaServer, It all works great when I turn my
firewall off but for obvious reasons I need it on.
I have tried adding ports/programs to my Firewall Exeptions List but still I
have no luck.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

I would like to know how dose clients SFW gets the server-side script. Swf
succesfully connects the server. I know that the main file is main.asc which
must be located in app directory - which i have. Main.asc has 1 line : var
version = "1.0";
Now if i start swf then it dosn't get that var... more >>

We have 3 personal editions of FCS 1.5 stacked, giving us a limit of 150
concurrent connections and 3Mbps (megabits) bandwidth.
We want to stream a 320x240 live video to approximately 30-50 users and have
it decent quality and clarity.

is the default applications directory supposed to be? I have one in
/etc/macromedia/fms/applications as well as where FMS was originally untarred.

Scenario: two FLV files sitting on Flash Media Server 2.
My .swf file uses FLVPlayback to play video files on FMS2 using rmtp protocol.
What's the simplest way of playing the second video right after the first
video at the end?

an FMS 2 system. We currently have the current specs of:
Intel Pentium-D (Dual core) 2.8ghz
2GB DDR2 RAM
RAID 1 160GB Disks 7200RPM
OS - RH Enterprise Server 4

downloaded the develop edition and have it setup successfully on my server. My
