does FMS allow you to do server side transcoding of mpeg or qt to .flv? Is the Flix Engine the most common way to do this? I'll be using it on a linux box.... more >>

I'm doing a project about trigger voice recording application in a webpage and
save the recorded file in server (no file saved in client computer) for future
use. Is FMS suitable to fulfill such requirement?

I'm working on an application with a webcam where users can record 10 seconds
of video and send there name and email with it. recording the video + giving it
a name isn't a problem, but sending the name and email to a text file with FMS

Sorry, I must say this. The docs and support for FMS2 and Flash are an absolute
joke. It is so frustrating just trying get information on how to create
streaming video that it's *almost* not worth it. I SO wish there was another
