I am trying to find a way to record a live Flash video stream. As far as I can
tell it seems that the Flash Media Server should have that ability - but none
of the Flash Streaming Service providers that I have contacted seem to provide
that capability. Being able to do this is critical to my being able to deploy a
Flash streaming video solution.

Anyone have any experience with this?

ns.publish("streamName", "record")

Adding the "record" flag to the publish command will tell the server to record
the stream.

As to your service provider, they might not allow stream recording. You'd have
to check with them.
