macromedia flash flashcom:
this is driving me crazy... just install the FMS, when i test my movies from
flash everything works fine, but when I try to test them on the browser or it
never connect or doesnt?find the files...
i?m sure that the server is up and running, and i?m trying to reach the files
locally thru:
rtmp:/appname/app.html
rtmp:/localhost:1935/...
or even thru windows explorer file://c:program files....

in all the ways the app can?t conect to the server...
what?s wrong?

The URL you listed in your original post
is missing a slash: rtmp:/localhost:1935/

Did you copy-paste or was that a typo?

Does "netstat -a" in the DOS-window show
a program listening at the port 1935?

Also you could run "nmap -O localhost"
to see the opened ports.

I 've got the same problem. Ran "netstat -a" and said it is listening on port
1935. I tried with and without built-in firewall of WinXP. Nothing happens. I
can start new server side applicatioins from the server manager, but when I
testing (CTRL+ENTER) any fla from Flash, can't see any result. No communication
between server and clinets. The 1111 port said "connection successful" when I'm
testing that. 1935 is dead. ???
