macromedia flash flashcom:
hi to all of you:
"it's possible set an audio codec during the recording of a stream from a
webcam?"

client side I can't do this.
server side I can't find a tag in conf xml files to do this.
flash plugin do this? if yes, how set the codec audio in version 8?

what I know is that in flv format exists a field AUDIODATA - SoundFormat
UB[4], with value:
0 = uncompressed
1 = ADPCM
2 = MP3
5 = Nellymoser 8kHz mono
6 = Nellymoser

please someone could help me in this?

thanks to all
:smile;

You can't.

When recording audio, the flashplayer always uses the nellymoser Asao codec.

See this page for a list of links on the topic of Nellymoser audio and
converting it to other formats
