macromedia flash flashcom:
Hi, we are evaluating the use of Flash Media Server for "remote learning"
application.
Video quality and delay are of course crucial.

We are testing the use of the ON2 Flix Live package for VP6 streaming with
standard Flash player (as viewer).
The video quality looks good until you start to scale the video... the
original video size is 352x288 (with streaming bitrate of about 128Kbps). The
minute I scale the video window to around 600x490 the video quality become
really bad.. (anti-aliasing issues..)
I try to scale the video in 2 ways: either enlarge the size specified in the
HTML without changing the video window size in the SWF file. Or change also the
size of the video window in the SWF file.. both result with poor scaling
quality..
The same PC shows great video scaling with other proprietary video
applications.. so its now an issue with this PC configuration.

I am looking for ways to improve this video scaling issue...

Please advice.

Regards, Ziv.

I found out that setting the Video.smoothing=true fixes the bad Video window
scaling issue.. (although I read in some blog that the Flash player scaling is
done in software not using the graphics card accelerators at all..)
