macromedia flash flashcom:
I am having one problem with my online FMS application (card game).
When I access it with one internet provider it works great, latency 20ms, but
with second internet provider (same speed) latency is up to 30seconds and more.
How can I override settings that different internet providers have?

so you want to say that there is no way I can solve problem with such a big
latency (30sec+) on application that is card game which uses very small
bandwidth?
Does this mean that I should switch to some other server, for instance
SmartFox?

do they both providers have the same number of hops between you and the target
computer .....are they using fiber optic cableing all the way through the
network .....the internet is not 1 service provider with 1 set of settings it
is more like thousands of service providers using all diffrent hardware and
software settings connected there is really no standard on how a service
provider must operate there is only standard communication protocols such as
TCP/IP so i'm not surprised that 2 diffrent service providers have 2 diffrent
amounts of lag. go with the faster service provider.
