macromedia flash handhelds: As there seems to be no official Macromedia support for the Pocket PC Flash
Player, I have to post my question in this forum:

I?m developing a Pocket PC application for a museum and need urgent help,
because my application runs out of memory and it seems to me that i has
something to do with limitations within Flash or ActiveX. I?m working on a
solution for a almost 6 weeks but couldn?t yet find the problem.

Does anybody know if there are any memory limitations for flash applications
using the IE activeX plugin?
What is exactly the difference between a inofficial Stand Alone Player using
the ActiveX-Plugin and the official Macromedia Stand Alone Player?

I tried to describe my problem also
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?catid=195&thre
adid=989210&enterthread=y.

I am working with a Toshiba e830 (128 MB, 520 Mhz XScale, Pocket PC 2003,
Flash Player 6 (ActiveX Plugin)).

Thanks for any help.

While I am not the most qualified person to respond, there is a technical
difference between the two, and memory management may be better in the
Standalone. Supposedly, the standalone is a complete application and is also
multi threaded, where as the ActiveX control is single threaded and requires a
host application. Perhaps the host application for the ActiveX control has
something to do with your memory problem. Hopefully a tech support person can
give more specifics about the difference between ActiveX and Stand alone.
