I want to highlight three different graphics on rollover in a flash movie, but can't figure out how. I've read the relevant forum topics, which refer to functions that my version of Flash doesn't have. I'm using Flash 2004 Pro. Any advice? Thanks.
K, you create a button graphic and you create a symbol(button). Right? Then you double-click you button go to the top in timeline and right click the frame symbol-below the 'over' word. and say insert new KEY frame click off in distance somewhere to deselect if it is a box click in the middle and change the fill. double click elsewhere in the frame and it will return to the stage done. now it will 'highlight' when you put you mouse over it. It you want diff. color/highlight when you click on the button double click your button right-click on the frame symbol-below the 'down' word. and repeat as above, only changing the color to something else. and etc. for the other button states--don't worry about hit too much, flash does it automatically. if ya' need more info or this is not what you wanted or whatever---I'm sorry and I'll try to do better next time (reply back and criticize me to death). Thanks to All of you
Thanks for your help, but I'm afraid I'm still stuck. The problem is that 'over' doesn't appear in my Timeline panel or anywhere else that I can find. Are you using Flash Pro 2004?
Did you double-click your button(to edit it)? Does it show only 4 max frames? Have you search the help file and/or looked it up in all the documentation? I'm sorry if I'm a hindrance, rather than a help... Perhaps ask someone else. Thanks to All of you
Yes, I doubled clicked on the button for edit mode, but there's still no 'over' function anywhere to be found. Thanks for your help. Anyone else have any ideas?
Why don't you send me a screen shot? (perhaps after you are in button/symbol edit mode) I can probably figure it out from there. Maybe do before and after pic's, then zip it and attach it. PS:There is a attach file, or an url etc. on replies and posts. Thanks to All of you
Try starting again, press ctrl/f8 click button ok you should now have 4 frames apart from up, You have to insert keyframes to any of the other states you want to keep. draw whatever graphics you want in each of the frames. Certified but not by Macromedia!
Don't see what you're looking for? Try a search.
