macromedia flash sitedesign : OK. I'm asking a stupid question

I created a multi-frame movie to use as my website.
It has five buttons on it which I added the Get URL action to.
When I publish it, and then open the .html file, the movie runs and then goes blank at the end.
It doesn't seem to stop on the last frame and let the buttons be "active." I end up with a blank white page.

I'm obviously overlooking something very obvious here. And I'd appreciate a clue.

Thanks,
Jeff

On the last frame of the movie do you have stop() action command? If you don't, then that's the clue. *G*. Before publishing your swf, you can do a preview to test it out. Do a Test Movie from the Control Menu and test it out.

Hope this helps.

If you can imagine it, I can design it!

That frustrated me for a long time too. Select the last frame which you want to be shown, then go to your actionscript window and choose movie controls then drag stop into your script window.

I celebrated for a day after I figured that one out.. : )

Yay!!!!! That's what I needed. I added a new layer with a keyframe at the end. I put the stop() action there and it worked great!
