Right guys.... i am new to web developing and am wondering how much you guys are charging for your work???

Any comments would be good!!!

Is it by the hour or a set rate???

very hard to say anything general about that. Depends on your talents; the
market you're working in etc. I could say 100 Euro per hour, but that would
be way over the top already in the northern part of the small country I live
in. As to what anything would cost; estimate hours you will spend on it and
multiply by your hourly rate. Betrer to inform in your own market and be
realistic about what you have clients to offer.

it's also frowned upon to discuss actual prices as that leads to price fixing - plus too many variables involved - your skill level, the demand for your talents, where you live, client's budget, etc....

each client is unique - you have to figure out/estimate how long it will take you to do the project and calculate how much you need to make per hour/per week/per month to survive - and then add 20% for any/all fixes, revisions, email and phone correspondance, etc....general expensses.....wear and tear on your machine, printer paper.......list goes on.....

I agree, I charge per page, and that depends on content of each page too.
It takes a long time to create a very interactive, dynamic page. Which is
why you should really shop around....
