macromedia flash sitedesign: you can do both....it depends on what you really want page to behave....
But I think is better to do it in one page... and then load diff. movies
inside index movie when click to links...
I think this is important regarding the time.....you can even show info
first an stop, with an invisible loading of other content within the same
movie.

index.html) with diffrent scenes. Or do you still need to link them to
diffrent files/pages? All on one file right?

When you make a website with flash is the whole website on one page (ex. index.html) with diffrent scenes. Or do you still need to link them to diffrent files/pages? All on one file right?

How does the download time of this concept compare to the download times if
separate HTM documents are linked together?

One the face of it, it sounds like the module would be very large if all is
on one page and that it would, therefore, taker a long time to download
BEFORE it would begin?

You can make a site in different ways. As you suggested, different html pages can be used for each swf, just one swf can be used with the various pages on different frames or different mcs or swfs can be loaded in when required which reduces loading time. There are lots of posts on this subject if you search this and the general discussion forums.

I think that explains everything I need to know. So... you can just put everything on one page seperated by layers and scenes unless you want to decrease loading time. Then you split them into diffrent files.

Well its not really split into layers and what would be a good habit to get into is to use frame labels instead of scenes. If you post your email, i`ll send you the basics of a site so you can have a look how it works. I`ll also stick you a couple of sounds on it and preloader which should give you a starting point to understanding how it all comes together.

Sounds good. My e-mail is shoegoo@hotmail.com. Thanks for helping. Hmmm but one thing... I get alot of spam so I was wondering one last favor. Could you name it in all caps or something. Make it stick out really bad. Something like FLASH TUTORIAL FROM SUPPORT FORUM or something.
