macromedia flash sitedesign:
so im building a flash site and i have certain fonts that I use, but I realized that on most computers they wont see these fonts, I was wondering what i have to do to embed a font into flash for the other viewers computers to reference it. Thank you in advance, Jordan

just type it in? im not sure if static text embeds it in, if you want to be possitivly sure, use dynamic text, I know that embeds it.

To be completely clear (this is all described in the manual by the way;
don't understand so many people having problems reading that); static
textfield auto embeds fonts. Dynamic texfields NOT, unless you tell the
software to do so explicitly.

See that is my problem, I am using dynamic text fields and I need to leave them dynamic. How can I go about this. I know in director you can just drag em into the cast(directors library). but i doubt flash is that easy. ideas?

John (laiverd.com),
I don't understand why you have to be so negative when it comes to people
asking questions in this FORUM. If you would prefer people not ask
questions, simply stay at the macromedia.flash.dontaskquestions forum.

People here are attempting to learn, and for some it takes some pride
swallowing to ask their peers how to do certain things. Whether or not you
RTFM (as you so nicely put it) doesn't matter... people are at a spot where
they are stuck, and that is why this and all the other macromedia forums
were created. I didn't see anybody crap on your question back in November,
so why crap on everyone else's?

Almost every post that I read that has negative response in it comes from
you, and most of the time I don't even have to look to see who it's from
because I can tell your style...

"Often asked, often solved as you could have known doing ssome research
yourself"
"158 results in .9 seconds. That is faster than anyone here can answer your
question, so save yourself and us some time by doing some research yourself
before posting."
"Your manual knows about embedding fonts."
"1st Try doing some research yourself next time"
"Read again > "I like it but it takes a long time to load... even on
broadband..." (this answer was for a question that wasn't even directed at
you)
"DARN YOU REALLY LOVE TO SPAM THESE NEWSGROUPS. PLEASE STOP."
"this is all described in the manual by the way; don't understand so many
people having problems reading that"

If you don't like the question, don't respond. Simple.

Jon.
