Hello,

I would like to learn how to make movieclips unload from the stage in a reverse animation of the way they were loaded, then load a completely new movie clip.

The steps go someting like this:

1. Load movie A (fades in)
2. Press link to a new movie B
3. Movie A appears to unload in reverse (fades out)
4. Once Movie A unload Movie B fades in.

This effect can be seen at :

Click on the links on the left to see what I am attempting to achieve.

How is this done - Conceptionally. Thanks

Richard

Richard,

If you get a decent answer on this topic, please let me know!

I have been struggling with a similar problem (if not the same)

1. Load external .swf movie "A" - it comes in and builds itself.
2. Press a button resulting in link to a new movie B
3. Movie A appears to unbuild itself (animated keyframes in reverse order)
4. Once Movie A has completed its reverse transition, Movie B fades in.

Each of my movies has the following three named keyframes: IN, OUT, and END.
IN is a transition that "builds" the stage for the presentation. The OUT is the reverse and ENd is the last frame of the .swf clip.

I am having problems getting the root movie to play the OUT portion of each external movie prior to loading the new new movie (using loadMovie).

Perhaps someone can point us in the right direction...

Thanks!

tj

Hi,

In both of your number 2s you have to change the action. When they press the
button you want the movie to play to [END] which presumably will have your
movie do its deconstruction thing. When the playhead hits the final Keyframe of
[END] you want it to encounter an on enterFrame action that triggers the
loadMovie or getUrl action that loads the new movie.

That is a simple way of doing it. You could produce more complicated ways of
doing this too.

Maybe that helps?

I have been struggling with the same problem until I found this helpful

I hope it helps you (however late the response)
