macromedia flash sitedesign: I am trying to make selectable text in several Flash files. I successfully created selectable text in one. Then, when I tried to do it in another file, it did not work. The font settings are exactly the same for both files, except for the font color and bolding. The files are structurally different. The one in which selectable text DOES work is very simple with only two layers and no animation. The one in which the selectable text DOES NOT work has six layers, and text is revealed for editing via the time line. In the swf file, text is revealed to user upon mouse click.

I'm new to Flash and am only editing text in pages someone else has designed, but I hope this is enough detail to get an answer. I'd like for all the text in this site to be selectable.

Since posting my question, we discovered that the text IS selectable, but it is white text on black, and the highlighting is white on black, so it does not APPEAR selectable when it is. This is an odd behavior I have not encountered before. Usually selectable text (in whatever format) reverses out of a contrasting color when selected.

So now my question is whether there is a way to change the way in which selectable text highlights. Would this be a browser or Flash Player setting?
