hello, i have a problem, when i create text and convert it to a movie clip and try to make tweens it doesnt change the alpha if i set it to and it moves in a choppy way instead of a normal smooth tween. I used to be able to create smooth tweens from text but now i cant. i think it is someting when i create the text that is wrong so can sumone help me if they know the answer? thanks!!!!

Set your text in the movie clip to dynamic, and also hit the character button and embed the fonts this should work. If your text is more that single line don?t forget to set it to multiline.

hey thanks, but, hehe, what is the character button?

it is located in the properties window when the text is selected, this is in mx. I cant remember where it is in later versions. You just want to embed the fonts in order to make it work.
