I'm not sure the best way to describe this.

I'm putting together a pretty simple site in Flash 5 (it's what I've
got...). Top bar has menu/buttons that, on mouseover, drop their menus
down. They're constructed as movie clips with button symbols within.
They're text and get a simple color change on rollover. All that works
fine.

What I'm having trouble doing is working in some "remote" rollovers.
These are sort of background images (to be preloaded) that will fill
the main part of the screen upon rolling into the main menus.

I'm wondering how to accomplish this the best way. I was thinking of
having them all preplaced, setting them to be invisible (through
alpha?), and then triggering the visibility upon the roll into the
menu items.

Is that sound thinking? If so, I'm having trouble getting the code to
trigger these objects to change upon rolling into that menu button. I
suspect my issue is one of nesting, as the rollover is triggered by a
button within a movie clip, and that's on the main stage. Do I need a

figured this one out myself finally.

I just needed to get the remote rollover, or wallpaper, into the
reveal keyframe of my movieclip/button rollover.

I was confused about how to get it to quit obscuring some of the
elements on the main page, but I solved that through careful layering.

Now... if I could just get Flash to quit crashing every time I try to
