macromedia flash sitedesign: i want to be able to create my own masking effects to underlying images similar as seen here:

do you have many tweens on the mask layer or several instanes of an animated movie clip on the mask layer

anyone know any tutorials/ fla's on this?

Yeah I agree with the monk on this one, but I'll be a little more specific.

I think each image would be on a different layer, the first image you want to unmask on the bottom layer and working up from there. Then each image layer will have it's own masking layer with the animated (tweened) masks on it.

That should create the desired effect.
