Flash Loading Problem

Flash Loading Problem SHF

macromedia flash sitedesign:
Hi - I'm new to the site, but I was hoping I could get some help. I have a flash site that seems to load fine 1/2 the time, and improperly the other half. The website is www.starshidefire.com/intro.html

It seems as though the text from all pages loads onto one. A picture of the problem is below:

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! - Shawn

It loaded perfectly for me and refreshes correctly every time. I never saw
it mess up. (Win XP, IE6, Flash 6 player)
When I click on your photograph section, when clicking the right arrow it
stalls at picture number seven. (flashes a loading message but doesn't load
the picture) Pretty nice site overall. Your photo of that girl standing on
a balcony is a really great shot. I could never get it to show again
though. Apparently the photos load randomly when the site loads?

do you have any preloader? it looks to me as though the initial jumble is
due to the swf playing before all the content has downloaded. i refreshed
and it was fine. cleared my cache, refreshed again and it was jumbled again.
refreshed once more, and once again, it was fine.

Ok..forgive my ignorance but what is a preloader? I am not the one who actually made the flash file, but I am trying to teach myself how to edit/fix it. Thanks again for the help..it is greatly appreciated. In addition, if you know of anyone who can definately fix this problem for me, I would gladly pay them a reasonable fee.

A preloader simply checks that a movie has finished transferring to the player before starting the movie. You must have seen them before, "loading please wait".
People are building quite entertaining preloaders these days and there is loads of documentation about them , even component ones which you drag /drop into a movie so you may be able to do it yourself.

Certified but not by Macromedia!

i'm 98% sure a preloader would sort it.

if ur trying to learn, there are plenty of tutorials around on preloaders.
if you just want it done shove the fla over to me and i'll whack my standard
preloader on it for you, for free.

cheers
