macromedia flash sitedesign:
WOW! 1240 for a fixed width is HUGE! I am building a sample for my
churches Jr High ministry and I am having trouble getting them to accept a
900X400 format. They are afraid that this is too big! You REALLY need to
knock down the dimensions to make this realistic for a wide range of users.
You have to remember that just because YOUR display will fit it, doesn't
mean the majorities will.

Hi,
I am making a flash website for my youth group although I have run into a little trouble. On the computer I created the site on it all nicely fits in iexplorer and you don't have to scroll around to look at it but I found that when I opened it on different computers it the flash is to big for the iexplorer window so you can only see part of the flash movie. The website is http://www3.telus.net/lipke/ it does not have very much content on it yet but I was hoping one of you could help me fix this problem. Thanks a lot,
Jeff

try changing this in your web page

Width = "1240" height="820"

to

Width = "100%" height = "100%"

Looks to me like you just made the movie too wide, 1240, if I am correct, is kind of pushing it. try 800 or 640 for width and 600 or 480 respectively for height. I don't know if there is an option to "fit to screen" like in Director, but even if there is, that can be dangerous because of possible distortion......
