macromedia flash sitedesign: Please point out any errors, mistakes or anything that does
not make sense. I've been working on these for over a
year and I need some feedback. You guys know your stuff &

I see what you are saying.

I'm going to rebuild the preloaders.

I've tested this a lot and I get different
loading times on different machines.(varies widely)
I suspected that it was taking longer to load. Even after empying
my cache. Loading these animations on a Mac G4 was under 60 seconds (DSL).
I also use a Dell PC that loads in 2 minutes. (T4) and sometimes just
loops and does not load at all.

Any suggestions as to what kind of preload i should use
to distract visitors from the loader?

Hey Dea -
I checked out both sites, and I have only a couple of comments. For
thetrenchtown.com the loading takes -forever- and I'm on a cable internet
connection. I shouldn't have to wait nearly that long for something that should
take little space. If you are going to make a person wait for the site, make
sure that all your pages are either within the flash site, or are integrated
with it well. Going on to your secondary pages looked as if going onto a
completely different site.
Again, with Kornerstone.net, I had to wait a very long time for the intro.
Generally, the intro should effectively be distracting the browser from how
long the site is taking to load, as it shoulod load very fast. As for the
actual flash animation on the main page, it is well done.

it would have to be exceptionally entertaining to make me consider waiting 2
minutes to view a site.
