First Website Action Script Help DOS_Scott

macromedia flash sitedesign: I?m building my first flash web site and I need just a little kick-start. I am
designing my flash site all in one file rather then loading individual swf
movies into my web site.

I have 5 different instances that I wish to link to 5 different buttons. Each
instance has a fade-in section and a fade-out section. When a linked button is
clicked for, I would like to load one of the instances when another button is
click, I would like the fade-out section of the previously loaded instance to
play before it loads the fade-in on the new instance.

The problem is I do not know action script well and have been struggling to
accomplish this but no luck. Could someone please provide me with the action
script that I need to place on each button to make the above described events
happen.

Thank you,

Scott

I made an example of a simple flash mx 004 website..nothing fancy mind you just
basic stuff..what you get out of the fla only depends on your level of
expertise...take it apart look at how its laid out examine all the time lines
...only action script I use is stop(); code and I use the button behavoirs
option to point the buttons to a movie clip frame..
To get anything out of it you must have some basic knowledge of flash using
timelines and movie clip symbols..and creating simple buttons....anyway maby it
will help... here is my website using the same method.. [L=my
web]http://www.mgamerz.com[/L]
here is a link to the .fla file [L=sample
