This is my second attempt at a website :)

feel free to be critical, except regarding the content which I had no
control over! I know that there are page turn effects that are better but It
was an excercise in animation that I wanted also, one page is frame by frame
another is shape tween.

I am aware that there are issues with login, especially from the
lowbandwidth and no flash sites,

I wouldnt bother going to the main site unless u have broadband lol!

Cheers in advance!

In my opinion, your website had 2 major flaws.
1. The shapes are bitmap and they would look much nicer as vector shapes.
2. You didn't define dimentions to your flash document so on a 1280x1024
resolution, it doesn't look so clean.

A URL would be handy... ;)

heh - easily done - once at least ;)

[quoted text, click to view]

indeed, and so...

The site looks too cluttered to me, and really quite dull design wise. The
animated menu on the home page is impractical and distracting. From a
useability standpoint, it's really annoying to have to press the back button
to choose a new menu option, and if you go to the 'what do we offer' section
and choose a heading, it pops up the window. If you then choose another
heading (which as you have clicked on the original window, hides the popup)
the new content is hidden.

To summarise (and I'm not trying to be cruel here, just giving my honest
opinion) I found the site ugly and hard to use :( Sorry for such harsh
words.

Yes, way to much text. Usually people wont want to stick around on your
site and read everything. You might want to hire a designer. Design is a
skill and a talent that most left brain people just do not have.

I had a G.D. student do his work week apprenticeship with me this year and one
day he asked what separated a good flash (not html) site designer from a bad
one. Actionscript? Animated illustrations? Zippy intro's? No. User driven
navigation, that's it, really. Your site unfortunately does not offer user
driven navigation and it really is the first thing you should work on. By that
I mean simply this, as you navigate deeper into a flash site, more often than
not (and this is due to the complexity of managing multiple mc's and instances)
in an amateur site you are confronted with the infamous "back" button. Nothing
else to navigate by. While this may suffice for the casual surfer, pro's know
that this is the sign of poor pre stage planning and understanding of flash.
Hit any of the top developers sites and take notice not of all the eye candy,
rather the fact that no matter where you are in the site, ALL of your
navigation options are readily available and accesible at ALL times. Take this
one step further and note that the integrity of scene transitions are also
maintained from any navigational link within the site and you have a good flash
site. This is not as simple as it sounds to accomplish.

My 2 cents...
