macromedia flash sitedesign:
On my web-site that is currently being designed, I have a menu on the left
where the buttons fade in and out. If you'll notice when ever you roll over the
button it moves a little bit. I want the animation to be smooth and not move
around when you roll over. Pleae Help!

this again, oh well ill help you anyway

1. import a graphic of the button in its fully faded IN state.. so 100%
opactiy.
2. convert that to a graphic symbol.
3. create a new movie clip, and drag the graphic symbol you made into the
movie clip. select frame 10, press F6.
4. select all the frames and apply a motion tween.
5. on frame one, select the graphic symbol, and via the properties window
select alpha from the color drop down menu, and put 0% in the little box thing.
6. select frame 10, and apply a stop(); action to it

now drop that movie clip into the over state of your button.

hope that helped, i think the problem that is happening now is that you have
created individual images of the picture fading in, or dropped the image in
frame by frame by hand, without properly aligning everything.
