I love the look and I'd like to duplicate this look in an upcoming project...
NOTE: The tabs...

I'm looking to do the same thing except in my case it would be to use
datagrids or movies...

They've used custom buttons to act as 'tabs'. Those buttons simply load
another movieClip including a new set of tabs showing the active tab as
selected.

It shouldn't be hard to duplicate. Good luck on the project!
