Everything working fine with PC IE6 and FireFox
Maybe the problem is specific to your client's browser.

Hi,

I'd like some site checking please. My client is having problems seeing these
XML photogalleries, while some people can see them just fine.

yikes, that's weird. So I fixed it for pcs by saving it to a lower version (flash 6), but now Macs can't see it. Previously, only macs could see it.

Flash player 6 doesn't have AS 2 capability. That started with
version 7. Are you using a preloader? That can be very important.
Display something while the file loads.

ok, how about you try setting up a enter page where the users are required to
choose which system they are on, windows or mac.

for the mac, have the player in either 7 or 8 and for the windows keep it a 6.
see if that works

grrr... the client's using IE6 windows and says she and her buddies still can't
see it. I guess there are about 4 people on different machines in different
places that can't see them.

Could it be the way they're published? I saved to Flash 6, action script 2.
Maybe I need actionscript 1?

9 of 11 kitchen images are saved in the progressive jpeg format. That
format is not compatible with Flash except for in the newest player.
That is why the pictures don't show. Load your images into an image
editor and resave them in a non-progressive format so that the
pictures will show in all players. Increase compression on the bigger
ones and check the quality afterwards. (save your originals just in
case)
If you don't have a good photo editor, download Irfanview32. It is
free and can do batch image conversions too.

Do we have a winner???

Well, I've gone in and resaved the jpgs in Adobe ImageReady. I used "save as
optimized" and under the optimize window, I clicked only on optimize, nothing
else. I did save them as high quality, although someone asked me why they were
so big. I feel that the photos need to be as nice as they can. If you think the
size has something to do with it, let me know. Yes, there is a preloader.

Drumroll please....
