macromedia flash sitedesign:
it's just the tower right? the fade in of each section? if that is it - it's fine...i guess - not
sure what kind of feedback you are looking for - there really is no "wow-factor" here - just basiv
flash motion tweens fading in color version over non-color version with bitmaps. It's nice but not a
ton to discuss - know what i mean?

nope. i go here:
http://www.towerpainter.com/
and i see the entire page with an animation of a tower on the *left* where it fades in section by
section - on the *right* is the logo with flash navigation. I see no "painter guy" - and i didnt
explore the site beyond this page becasue you said not to - i have the latest player 8.

ahhh - it works now - cool. the bird is extremely loud though - people in office environments are
going to get annoyed trying to quickly turn down or off their sound but will be too late - need to
lower it to about 10% of what it is now - it's so loud i was expecting a 5-ton bird to swoop down
and knock the tower over :)

I think the overall pacing is good but could be much quicker - and doesnt the actual guy who does
the painting climb the tower? it may be misleading to clients that he uses a really long pole.

just my thoughts.

Animation check nikerfl

Hi, fellows.
Check the animation at http://www.towerpainter.com and tell me your opinions,
please. Do not look at the rest of that website it's crap and was not made by
me. Evaluate animation at the top only, ok.

Thanks,
Nik

your speaker level is not the barometer for everyone else - the falcon effect would be much more
effective if it was much lower in volume and with more reverb - it would give more of an ambient
effect as if off in the *distance* making it feel much more lonely.

The climbing thing - the painter in real life would have to climb the tower in order to paint it -
right?

Actually not! Not ugly spiky tower on the right.
You haven't seen animation with a painter guy at the top?

That's kinda weird...
And you don't have a white space of about 150 pixels height at the top of page?

http://www.towerpainter.com/index.htm - maybe this will work

ok. The problem was in local and non-local versions of website. Believe or not
but within our office we have different version of www.towerpainter.com :-)

So try again, please. Make sure to press Ctrl+F5.

Hey! Here we go :)
Screaming falcon effect was added to show that this tower is in lonely hard to
get place, and our(their) guys can get there :)

Yeah, maybe it's loud. But i'm not intented to listen music in the office, so
my speakers are always almost muted and my co-workers' are so. Maybe it's
better to remove it at all?

I'm not sure i understand what you say about climbing???

And, yea, it could goes a bit faster.

Of course he could climb :) But can you image how is it complicated for me. I
saw your(Chris) works and of course it seems to you pretty easy to make someone
climbs but not for me :-)

Now another problem. Customer is happy but finally he came up with the
decision to replace the brush with a paint sprayer... It's not difficult to
replace it but the animation of painting will be different i guess.

So does anybody know how to simulate a sprayer effect in Flash?

climbing wouldn't really be easy for me either - often times i have to work really hard to get a
certain animation done the right way. as a result i get about 4 hours of sleep per night.

for a spray effect i would use a linear gradient shape tweened...

go here:

http://www.mudbubble.com/downloads/spray.zip

it's a very crude example but may help you get started.....
