macromedia flash sitedesign:
I posted this over the weekend, but I don't think anyone noticed it, so I'm
bumping it and sorry for the multiple posts of this but I am trying to post
a new topic but it keeps sticking it in my old thread.

I wanted to pass along this online makeover application we just completed
for BeautyRiot:

http://www.beautyriot.com/instant_makeover.php

It does require a login -

You can use user name: blurred
password: einstein

One of the cooler things though, is that you can upload your own picture,
trace all the features and then apply makeovers to yourself - not just the
default model. While you can upload an image with this user name there's no
guarantee it won't be replaced. Feel free to create your own account if you
like. Warning - the site has advertising... and the app is framed by a
couple of ads. Nothing I can do about that, sorry.

Some of the cooler things include the shape outlining features within setup
mode, ability to send email snapshots of makeovers. It's a large app that
took just over four months to develop - definitely the largest Flash thing
I've ever done. It's currently in public beta and 1500+ people have so far
uploaded their own image, which I think is nuts - it's only been up for a
little over a week.

PS - yeah, it is mostly for girls though a few guys have uploaded their
image. My bro loves it when I send him pics of myself with Hillary Duff's
hair and hot pink lipstick - or even weirder:

Hey, I developed the thing - I had to test it. <g>

Like I mentioned, I meant to start a new thread not add to my existing one.
I'm on usenet so don't see the 'bump' as it were - it's just lost in my old
thread. Sorry.
I didn't mean to not ask for feedback - that's exactly what I was looking
for. Just wanted some impressions, etc...

It's more for women than 'young girls' really. <g>
You don't have to register though - I supplied a user name a pwd for people:

user: blurred
pwd: einstein

Thanks Chris

what duplicate the post after bumping the first one twice inside of 2 minutes? I noticed it a few
days ago - but you didnt seem to ask for feedback - so not sure what you are looking for other than
hits?

no problem,
i revisited it - first time i didnt spend too much time - but some cool graphics - this time i
clicked link to start the makeover:
http://www.beautyriot.com/imweb/instantMakeOver.php
and it freezes at 5% - so preloader or connection is broken?

ahhh - now it worked - it loaded. i didnt realize you have to be registered though - dont have time
to spend right now - maybe later....not sure how many people here are going to take the time to
register and use your site jsut to give impressions - i could be wrong - but this being a volunteer
based forum I'm not totally surprised you have not had an response so far - especially since the
target audience seems to be for young girls. perhaps you could focus test it with that specific
market? find 10 your girls to register and use the site? just a thought.
