I am creating a series of plain TEXT animations in Swishmax. I didn't create
such animations in Flash itself because I am NOT familiar with Flash. This is
ALL new to me...

After I create the text animations, I thought I could simply import it to my
existing Flash project. In the Flash project I have a video window. that
trigger slides to change at a predefined time....

When I try to import the animations from Swishmax, Flash acts up really bad. I
cannot "phisically place" the animations where I want them to be. Most times,
Flash places the animations outside of the area of my project. Sometimes, the
SWF will play in a continuous loop; sometimes it will play just once, as it is
how I configured it to perform in Swishmax - the SWF play itself ONLY ONCE.

I've done some research and found this website that asks you to go to the
Insert menu in Flash, select New Symbol..., then movie symbol, then I import
the SWF created in Swishmax, then this "movie symbol" becomes availabe in the
library. Here's the link to the website where I found this information. This
could help best understand what I am trying to do.

Can anyone PLEASE help me get this resolved. Please help me out ASAP. Keep in
mind this has to be VERY SIMPLE for me considering I have no Flash experience.

Thank you in advance.

If I understand you right, You are trying to import a SWisH Max text animation.
First of all, That tutorial is a little... well, lets just say it looks like
they were in a hurry to get the tutorial done.

Second of all, I am downloading a trial of SWisH Max and will try the
tutorial. If it works I will try to tell you what you did wrong. I will get
back to you in a sec.
