macromedia flash sitedesign: Ls

I have a webpage with a flash-menu containing 2 layers: first layer contains
text next layer a movieclip with transparency 100%.

As expected I cannot see the text in 32 bit color mode however when I switch
to 16 bit color mode and refresh the webpage the text is slightly visible.
How is that possible?

Update: I have changed the animation a bit so the text isn't visible
anymore. Still the problem that flash animations display different in a 16
bit color environment exists.
