If you're site is HTML, then this really shouldn't involve Flash at all
unless you intend on setting up a Flash MP3 player.

To do this in HTML/Javascript is very messy and not a great solution
out there. However, you could link to a page that has the embedded MP3
on the page and then the user should see some kind of control which
automatically displays the load progress of the file.

Ultimately, the way you're doing things - no, there's no way to show progress.

Hey
I'm completely new to this so please bear with me! I made a site in
dreamweaver which has links to mp3 files. When you click on these you just
have to wait until they're ready before they play. So I was wondering if I
could make some kind of progress bar that would let viewers of my site know
that something was happening? Ie, that starts when you click the link, and
gets to 100% when the file's ready to play.
And if that is possible, how would I integrate it into my site?
Questions, questions.
Cheers
