HELP! Flash no showing up? darinlang

macromedia flash sitedesign: I have not seen this happen, but I have had several reports that my Flash
animation is not showing.
If you go to:
http://TheWindTamer.com/
there should be a flash animation to the right of the text.
For some people it is just blank white space.
I have tested it in Opera, IE, Netscape on Mac and windows. I don't have a
problem viewing it. I have no idea what the problem is. They were all windows
computers.

Can anyone tell me what's going on and how to fix it???
:confused;
TIA

hello,
this is because they don't have flash player activeX installed. I think anyone on this forum has flash player.. :D

So is there some sort of flash activex checking script that will display a gif if they don't have active x?

you can't load a gif there but you can load another page, you will understand
better.
take a look in flash at file>publish settings (you have to have a flash
document opened) at the html tab (if the tab is not present, then select hmlt
from the main tab)
at the html tab you will see a checkbox detect flash version. press settings
and I think you understand what to do from here.. the first html file is the
one that will check if the lash is pressent, the second one is the one with the
flash in it, and the third is the alternate html page wich will load if the
flash activex is not installed on that system..
i hope you will figure it out...

[quoted text, click to view]

You just have messed up html. There are two parts to the html, the
Internet Explorer part and the Embed part for Netscape and Firefox
etc. Your I.E. html points to a non-existent location:

Your embed code for Netscape/Firefox is valid:
