macromedia flash sitedesign:
GIF will make a smaller projector as it has fewer colors than the PNG
version (and vice versa).

Regardless of input format, SWF files only have two formats :
non-progressive JPEG, and zipped bitmap.

If the image its the same, it makes no difference whether it is in GIF or
PNG.

Gif or Png? desziner

Hello,
I am creating a web based training application using screen shots and would
like to know what is the best format to use in terms of projector size. In my
research, I have found people use PNG for it's transparent properties, however
I just need 32 color pallete for screen shots. I am thinking gif would be the
way to go as the file size captures are smaller than PNG.

However, when reading the developing e-learning application guide from
macromedia, their sample files use PNG files for screenshots. Which format
creates the smallest projector?

Thanks
