Hi,
I'm trying to make a star wars scroll in a flash move....having a bit of
trouble..was able to make in Macromedia Director Mx but I am unable to import
into macromedia flash mx 2004 presentation...Please help...with
either..importing a director fie (*.dir) into macromedia flash or making a star
wars scroll effect from scartch...
by the way the star wars scroll effect is how the move begins...with the story
being told and scrolling superiorly into the screen...
thanks

When I'm thinking about how the Star Wars text scrolls in, I know that it
scrolls back 'away from' the user as well as up the screen.

So what I think you will have to do to pull this off is to get a font where
the bottoms of the letters are wider than the tops (or 'draw' your letters this
way). Then you make a single movie clip for your scroll. And within the
scroll, each line of text should be a seperate Graphic element.

Line up the lines of text so that each one animates seperately within the
movie clip, where they move up the screen, shrink slightly as they movie, and
eventually fade into invisibility when they get small.

This will be time consuming but will work in Flash no problem until you get a
better solution I think...
