hi,
i've just posted a topic in the reg flash forum and figured this would be the
next best place to try and find some help. i've created a site in flash mx 2004
pro that isn't ranking very high in search engines. the site has 3 html pages
with embedded html data. this isn't enough for us to compete on the level we'd
like to. what's the best way to rank a flash site high? is it creating more
html pages with searchable data? is there a way with action script to embed
searchable data? would dynamic text in the flash files be recognized by search
enigines like google or yahoo? maybe naming button, instances or links in a way
that they could be seen by search engines as key words? any ideas or tips into
this matter would be much appreciated.
thanks!

this was asked by same person in the flash general forum - just in case somebody here doesnt want to
provide same answer that was already given.

its all about LINKS there are huge websites made entirley in flash its all
about links if you have 1000 links to your site and ur opponents html sites
have 700 links you win.......

some search engines can slightly read swf format most cant......

just have a good page title good meta description and good meta keywords and
ull be find......

Hi I went to the url that you indicated and downloaded the sdk for the search engine. Now what? I'm not sure how to add it to my flash site. Thanks I'm still a newbie baby.

I always create a pure html coded "index.html" which redirect to my flash.html.
That?s another way to solve the problem with searchengines when you using flash.
