Button problem in IE

macromedia flash sitedesign: I've built a quick splash page for a friend, with a button on the front to load
a temporary second page. The button works great in Firefox and Safari, but
doesn't work at all in IE (of course). I applied the active content update to
both of the HTML pages, and included the active content js file on the site as
well, as I have done for many that worked in the past.

Any ideers what's going wrong with this sucker?

really hard to guess without knowing:
a. what kind of button (component, custom built, etc...)
b. what the code is you gave it
c. what player version you published to
d. what player version it is being tested with
e. url so we can see it and try it.

those would help narrow it down - the FLA would be even better.
