A little help embedding flash... the_rew

macromedia flash sitedesign: Hello, first of all I'm new at flash so apologies if this question has been
asked before/is incredibly simple to solve.

I'm using flash 8, and I want to make a scrolling text box. I seem to have
muddled through somehow and achieved this, however there is a slight problem
when I embed it into an HTML file. See
http://www.geocities.com/rewster81/visor/index2.html

I'm not sure if it's just my browser (am running IE under XP) but I and
several others have noticed that before you can use the slider you have to
click the textbox (and when you hover over it, a border appears around it until
you click)

I'm using firefox under Windows NT at work and this doesn't have the same
problem. Is it just a browser issue, or am I doing something wrong when I
embed it?

I'd appreciate any help!

Hi there.
I dont see anything wrong with the text field, other than you don't have the
scroll up and scroll down button. But i guess that was a preferance of yours.

I tested it with IE, and Firefox 1.5, and 2.

i didnt see any border, and i didnt have to click on the field before using
the scroller.

But in the case of having to click on a flash field before using it, i
remember once using a command to " set focus " on the filed itself in flash.
But i cant remember what it was.
Have a quick look for --focus-- under help.

hope it works out for you. But like i said, i saw nothing wrong with it myself.
Good luck.
