Jagged Pictures Post Upload Mikeb88_69

Pictures become jagged around the edges after I upload onto the internet.
The quality is 100 and the .swf looks fine. It's only after I upload this
problem occurs.

I've tried .gif and .jpeg (right now it's .gif)

Thank you

Please take a look in 'pics'

This is a limitaion of flash. Flash does a quick resampling of pictures when
rescaled, this gives a jaggy appearence whther scales up or down. Solution -
never rescale the main movie or movie clip containing the image within.

allowscale = false;
html parameter - scale = noscale

if u want scaling then u might have to use different pictures of diiferent
sizes for different scalling loaded dynamically.

ADOBE GUYS PLS NOTE - Please give us bicubic resampling option like in
photoshop

Instead of trying to fix the image quality, change the gif file. I found out
that flash tends to mess up the edges of any image. An easy fix is to give the
image an extra pixel on each side and top/bottom. This is easily done with a
gif file because it allows for transparency. If your image is 40 x 40, expand
the image canvas size by 2 on length and width. (ie 42 x 42). This will cause
the blank area to be messed up instead of your border.

for the bitmap "shift" bug set registration to any of the 4 corners and not the center when
converting to a symbol.
