Bit of a wierd title, but i diddnt know what to put!
I have created a quick, easy test site, to test and to learn from:
http://www.papercut-productions.com/flash/main_news.swf
The thing i have noticed, is that i want the site to appear in the centre of
the page, with 2 bars at the side, made of colour, which stay still as the user
scrolls. Although i did not try and create colour round the sides, the page is
squashed into one pane of ie. Thats not very clear, i dont think! But if you
look at the sit, i think you will see what i mean.
I want it to look a bit like this site: http://www.misbourne.org.uk
with the blue round the edge, and the centre sorta floating! But the main
thing i want is to be able to scroll down, instead of IE or Firefox squeezing
it into one pane.

I hope you dont get too confused reading this!
Thanks alot!

Alex, you need to place your swf file inside an HTML page and that page
is what your site will be.

Flash can do it for you under publish settings. Check the HTML box and
publish your movie. The HTML file will appear on the same location your
fla is saved.

Now your HTML will have a white background... you will need to learn how
to edit this file a bit to either place a background image or change the
body of the html page.

The link you sent have an image as a background. This image is probably
only 1 pixel wide that repeats horizontally. You can always right click
on the image and "View Background Image".

If you have Dreamweaver you should take a look at some basic tutorials
